Christmas is around the corner and if you’re anything like me, you struggle with stocking stuffers for toddlers. I feel like I always end up browsing the aisles at the dollar store and buying tiny little toys that end up broken and in the trash.
Growing up, my mom worked long hours. So on Christmas morning, out stocking presents would all be wrapped individually in our stockings. Later in life I realized that she did this so that when we would wake up, we could start her coffee and the cinnamon rolls and then waste some time opening every single little gift while she could wake up a little bit and have her coffee. It was sort of her “snooze alarm!”
When my husband and I got married, I did this for us just out of habit and I thought it was a normal thing. Apparently it isn’t – ha! He thought it was so odd, but since I play “Santa,” we just went with it. I am often cursing myself out when I’m wrapping everything though because stocking stuffers are such odd shapes.
In my mom’s group on Facebook, I decided to chat with my girls about stocking stuffers for toddlers so we could all join forces and find things that are actually useful! I even included some links for them!
