Have you ever looked around at your kids and thought “what are you doing to pull your weight around here?” Ever wondered what daily chores for kids looks like? Here are some chore ideas by age for you!

At what age should children start chores and allowances?
In my personal opinion, I don’t think kids should be getting allowances for general chores. My kids currently are 7, 4 and 13 months (twins) and we do not do allowance. I truly feel that kids should be doing chores because that’s what you do in a family – you help out and take responsibility for your stuff.
My oldest is 7 and we do not to allowances. However, when he’s a little older, we will offer allowances for daily chores that aren’t already his responsibility and for things he hasn’t been asked to do.
Now don’t get it twisted – this does not mean my kids enjoy doing the chores. Like, at all. They hate it. But it gets done and we move on.
Benefits of daily chores
