If you’ve been following my blog, you know that my absolute favorite flavor combo is peanut butter and chocolate. (Boom and boom) – I could (and sometimes do) eat it all freaking day.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was sore. So, so, so, sore. I hardly ate or drank. I came across a recipe for a chocolate peanut butter banana breakfast smoothie. (Original recipe) The first time I made it, I was hooked. It tastes like freaking ice cream.
I (of course) made a few modifications. Since I hardly ate, I added oatmeal to it to keep me fuller longer. You could add anything really – oatmeal, protein powder, whatever, I don’t care. So here is my version.
Side note, I really wanted to take a during picture of this delicious beautiful smoothie, but because I can’t do anything flawlessly, it was ugly.
Ingredients:
*2 large overripe bananas, sliced and frozen
*1 cup milk
*3/4 cup of ice
*1/4 cup peanut butter
*2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
*1/2 tsp vanilla extract
*1/4 cup dry oatmeal
Directions:
*Place all ingredients in blender. Blend. Eat. Smile.
I almost (ALMOST) feel guilty eating this in the morning because it’s like a dessert. D loves it as well 🙂
Happy cooking!
