DIY Shower Cleaner

Hello readers!

Before I get started today, let me say that I debated posting this one because my shower is DISGUSTING. It always annoys me but I only notice it (because I always keep my shower curtain shut) when I’m actually in the shower, and the last thing you want to do while you’re in the shower is clean the shower. Right? Right. But this stuff worked so well that I wanted to share with you.

I’ve seen it on pinterest 100 times so I finally decided to try it out. IT WORKS!

All you need is:
*1 part warm Vinegar
*1 part blue Dawn dish soap

That. is. it. Warm up the vinegar (you don’t have to use the mixture warm – this just helps the vinegar mix well with the Dawn) and pour it into a spray bottle. Add the blue Dawn dish soap and mix it. Now have at it. I sprayed it in the grout and let it sit for a few hours. Then I used a toothbrush and a cleaning brush to scrub out the grout. I added water every once in a while to help and it got so clean. Here are my before pictures…(please, this is a no judgement zone)

In this one you can see where I started cleaning around the jet and the orange stains are gone under the jet.

I did get a little nervous because after I let it sit and cleaned it, my grout was blue. I was freaking out. I decided just to let it sit and I would fix it the next day – but it was gone after my husband showered in the morning.

And after….

I highly recommend this stuff!
